Week Fourteen at Harmarville

Week Fourteen

Day Ninety-two...

September 3, 2003

Hi All...Just a quick note to tell you that Greg will be leaving Harmarville on Saturday. So remember the prayer and fasting is Saturday.

I'll try to write more tomorrow.

Blessings,

Connie

Day Ninety-three...

September 4, 2003

Well....we're getting down to the wire. Greg has two more overnights at Harmarville. He has made some friends there and I think will miss them. When he goes for outpatient therapy, he will have other therapists except for Jan in Hand Therapy.

We're still in search of one or more Personal Care Assistants for Greg. A few of our health care professional friends have volunteered to help a few hours a week. A wonderful blessing.

Apparently Dr. Brenes came into Greg's room today. He said that Greg has more movement in his right leg and some in his left. He also said that great things start with small accomplishments. God is not finished yet. We must stay focused on Him and His will...... But boy is it tough sometimes. But..

" And God is faithful. He will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can't stand up against it. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you will not give in to it." 1 Corinthians 10:13.

I'm wondering what to do about these updates. Writing them has provided me with some therapy of my own. Please let me know if you would like to continue receiving them or if enough is enough.

Blessings,

Connie

Day Ninety-four...

September 5, 2003

Good evening.....

Today was Greg's last full day at Harmarville as an inpatient. He has said most of his good-byes and traded email addresses. One more night to go and he will be released.

We will be bringing Greg home tomorrow morning. Probably between 8:30 and 9:00. Check the website for more information about the prayer and fasting tomorrow.

I have received some lovely notes from some of you today. You've told me how your faith has matured through this and how your prayer life has grown. God's purpose can be seen in many ways through many lives. Many of you I hardly know and some I don't know at all, yet it seems like we're connected in some way. If your life has been touched through this event, if you have picked up your Bible to check out the passages, if you have prayed consistently for the first time in a long time, I would challenge you to do something more about it. Something for yourself...If you're already involved in a church (and I mean worshiping every Sunday and involved in ministry), that's great. If not, I invite you to get involved. There are many fine churches in our area. Ones where you can become a part of a community that provides support and instruction. You may certainly come and worship with us at Riverdale at 1555 Brodhead Road in Moon Twp right next to Bon Meade School.

And to praise God.

"We praise God for the wonderful kindness he has poured out on us because we belong to his dearly loved Son...Ephesians 1:6

and "We are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." Ephesians 2: 10

What good things did He plan for you to do? Are you doing them?

May God's blessing rest upon you,

Connie
